Oooooh no not itchy goolies. Not good.

I have read on the Bernese board I belong too mostly American folk they use the tumble dryer sheets on their dogs if they are sensitive to storms. Apparently it reduces the static in their coat dogs pick up the static through their coats when the storm is coming or in full force.
makes them smell nice too.

I use Astonish washing liquid, sold in Home Bargains (£2.00 for 2 litre bottle) or direct from Astonish as it is animal and eco friendly and cheaper than most brands.

A cup of soda crystals works really well on stains and softens clothes, you just put it in the soap drawer. It is cheap as well. I always have some under the sink

Vinegar is amazing for cleaning stuff.Always add some to the bucket when I'm cleaning the floor tiles, leaves a lovely shine. Thanks Malka, now I'll be putting it in the machine too

Regarding the soda crystals, you can use on own as a soap powder. Or as I do with stained washing, I just add a small scoop to the wash. there are loads of uses for it, it cleans grease really well, and can be used to clear drains/pipes. If you google it you can find loads of info on it.

(how do you do quotes on here?)
The vinegar link is really good, will have to buy some thanks Malka

I have found tesco's own bio liquid is as good as any washing detergent and charly is also not allergic to it , which she is with some. Its cheaper too.
I also use soda cystals for heavy stains and I always use lenor or comfort (whichever is on offer).

Now going back through the posts to read malkas one on vinegar
