Grease on new carpet - Help!!!!

Whilst we were at the cinema last night one (or both) of the dogs have helped themselves to a tub of Lurpak that had been mistakenly left out on the kitchen counter!

We came home to find the lounge carpet (only laid a few weeks ago) smeared with butter.

I've scrubbed it with Oxyclean, then diluted laundry detergent, but it's still marked quite badly.

Any ideas anyone??

If you use plenty of kitchen roll sheets and a warm iron, you can lift the grease quite easily. I've actually removed candle grease from my carpet this way and it worked perfectly.

The heat makes the grease more liquid, and the kitchen roll just soaks it up.

Don't have the iron too hot.

Good luck x

Sorry, missed this one.... But a sure starter

Brown paper bag over the stain and a warm iron.

Vicki, didn't know that kitchen roll does the same job.

Hope it works
