The bags are silly money but ocado have jus started stocking a paper bag version that are £3.19 for 5 bags. They are about a third smaller but look much more environmently friendly!

oops, soory meant they re-vamped the the actual vacuum to make it more durable and i've been happy with it

the review is on the groom tool - if you go to the dydon site there are videos of it in action which are accurate

i love the groom tool and glad i bought it

IMHO you can't beat a Henry. Mine was my uncle's before I inherited it about 10 years ago. It's at least 15 years old, never had a service or broken down in any way and the suction is still as good as it's ever been - of full power it will pick rugs up. He's like part of the family.

The only disadvantage is he's heavy to carry up and downstairs when you're as knackered as I am healthwise. So I retired him upstairs last year and got a Hetty for downstairs.

He picks up dog hairs no problem and having borrowed a Dyson to see if the beater head picks up dog hairs any better, I'll stick to Henry thanks as the brushes just clog up and get dog hairs wound round them which is a pain to remove.
