I have a miele cylinder too, fantastic. Streets ahead of Dyson (which we have had previously) IMO.

We have a vax pet hoover, its quite good but after about a year the pipe has come a bit loose so when you try and hoover with the pipe rather than the foot it will come off.


Iv just bought my mum a henry hoover, she's always had them but hers recently died after abut 6years constant use, with at least 2 dogs in the house.

When my vax packs up I will most probably invest in a henry!

argh, too much choice went and had a look around today, but still hooverless as I just couldn't make up my mind.

I have had Dysons and the Miele Cat & Dog in the past and now have an ultra cheapo Tesco own make one, which I have found to be surprisingly excellent - so long as you keep the filters clean. It was around £40 I think and has lasted me a few months so far

I do like the Dyson and the Miele, but managed to b*ggar all my hoovers up over time so decided this time to go for cheap and cheerful and see how I went.

Ours is a argos pet one. Been fab for dirt, dog hair, horse hair... and picking up my hair!!!! Had ours 6-7 months

My Miele is a cylinder and lovely and light for doing stairs or carrying around.

well, after all that I have gone for a vax , simply because it was in the sale in my catalogue (half price) and with my cashback rewards I got it for £29 It's a vax pet, and reading the reviews they were very positive, should be here by the end of next week. I can't wait, it'll probably lift about a ton of dog hair, as my current one has basically no suction left!

Just saw this thread. We have a Vax (Pet 2 I think) we got it half price in ASDA this time last year. We have 2 dogs, 3 cats and cream carpets and it is wonderful!

I have killed 2 of those vax's! (and a second hand pet dyson!)
