Goodbye poor thing..

My neighbour has just rung me up asking if Louie was alright.. I was like, yes, why then she said she'd just got a phonecall off her friend who drove past, saying there was a chocolate lab sized dog on the side of the road, dead. She immediatly thought of my Louie, thankfully it isn't him. We live on a country road and the only chocolate, lab sized dogs living on this road are Louie and the two labs up the road, but if they'd had gotten out, the owner would've come looking..

So R.I.P poor dog, hopefully someone will find out who you belonged to..

Sleep tight.

So sad hopefully it was a quick death for the poor pup. (and very glad it wasn't Louie and bless your neighbour for checking it wasn't him)

Might be an idea to ask the other neighbour to check it isn't there pup, as it might have gotten out without them know yet. Poor guy.

That's sad to hear.

Was there no chance of anybody going for a closer look to see if it had a tag etc or is it not near to you ?

Fingers crossed (without knowing more) perhaps it may have been a miss ID'd deer or fox perhaps ?

Shame regardless.

According to my neighbour's friend who she had been called up by, there was 2 cars who had already stopped as well as herself, there was no tags otherwise my neighbour wouldn't have rung me up asking about Louie, OH mentioned that he saw this too, but he was talking about a different direction (I think one of them is a bit confused) but OH said he saw some men taking the dog away, so perhaps it was their dog.. I saw my neighbour last night walking his two labs though, so it's not his.. poor thing..
