Healing vibes desperately needed for Barney please

Barney desperately needs Dogseys magic healing vibes, he belongs to a friend of mine, he is a Yorkie x Patterdale, he is just about 2 years old and a rescue.

A few days ago he was attacked by a Rottie and received some horrific injuries, including loss of use of his legs and is at the moment fighting for his life in the vets, I had an email this morning which probably explains his condition far better than I could, along with a few pictures, so please ladies and gents if you could please spare a few moments of your time to wish Barney a speedy recovery, I'm positive Alison will be very grateful

Thank you

Please excuse a shared e mail, but it saves me typing; and I am a bit weary!

Barney today is using his back legs, so that is good news, I did not realise
but the front legs seem badly affected at the moment, his front right leg he
is holding quite rigidly and at a funny angle; the left front leg is floppy;
if you try to stand him up he falls flat on his face. The vet tells me that
the muscle damage is very very deep and that will be affecting the front
legs right now; and that it will be a bit of time before he has control but
they expect it will come back because he can use his back legs then the
indication is that the spinal chord is OK.

He has bite wounds all over his back, and tummy but they were not severe
enough to have been shaved and stitched. Today he was taken off his drip,
but he is not eating and so they asked if I would try to feed him. I had to
syringe feed him but he took it OK.

Every day has seen a dramatic improvement so I am hoping and praying that
tomorrow will see an improvement for his front legs. Today he did not cry
all the time, but he was crying when we left.

Here are some pictures, not very good, as it was pretty hard to hold him for
him to be comfortable.

Oh how sad Poor Barney, I hope he gets better soon, he sounds like a little fighter and will TLC and help from the vets he will be home again soon. So hard when they are in pain and not themselves.
Hugs to your friend and an extra gentle hug for Barney and a kiss, will be sending vibes Barneys way xxxx

Oh Chris...the poor wee lad.

I'm glad he is improving daily and really hope that he continues to do so, particularly in respect of his front legs.

What has the rotti owner said/done about the incident - are they meeting your friend's vets bills?
