Megan's Dinosaur - the story begins here

It all happened after Megan's mummy and daddy took her to Chester Zoo to cheer her up after her favorite doggy had died. Megan saw me with all of the other's waving aboout in the breeze in the balloon seller's hand. All the other balloons were like all of the beautiful animals in the zoo, bright colours and very pretty....but, Megan saw me all blue and boobly and feeling a little sad too, and she decided to take ME home with her.

A week passed by and I was very happy with Megan, she took me everywhere with her. Then one day a gust of wind blew me out of the open patio doors and high up into the sky. Megan's mummy looked so funny running and trying to jump up really high to catch me. The hens all squaked and ran inside as I floated above their heads. I went higher and higher until finally I disappeard into the clouds. I could just see Megan, her mummy and Megan's big sister far down below and faintly heard Megan crying. I felt a tiny bit sad and a little scared but, also very excited as I climbed still higher into the clouds and was carried away by the wind.

Megan's mummy decided to tell all her good friends on dogsey about what had happened, and they all told Megan not to worry and that they would watch out for me and help me to write to Megan to tell her that I'm okay and about all the adventures that I'm having. By the way my name is Dinky and I'm a blue, bobbly dinosaur....that can fly!

Anyway I found myself in London. I met some really interesting people there and I got chance to meet the Queen. Her crown was so beautiful and sparkly as it shone in the light. I then went for a ride on a big red bus and saw Big Ben. I wanted to tell Megan not to worry and about all of my adventures and I found a friend called bens mum who said that she would help me write a card to Megan.

This morning Megan received my postcard and it made her really happy and she wants to say a big thank you to bens mum for helping me to write to Megan.
