I can imagine Gorden is helpful but sometimes he does sit and I think get off your a**se.
his reason is he can't win to be honest if he gets up he is in the way and if not I go around swearing under my breath and slamming things.
Thank goodness he takes it all in his stride.
The way your dad behaves is unacceptable for you and your mum.

I can't wait until he says he is going to the pub!! She'll kill him....I just hope he takes my brother with him, I won't have to worry too much about the dogs then, a couple of hours.

I like to do it all myself. I make 'em go sit down if they try to (get in the way) help .

I'm lucky because the rest of the year OH does pull his weight, but Christmas is mine.

I'm also lucky in that the pub has never interested my OH. He's quite happy to stay home. Help if asked, but not get in the way .

I just miss the days of chaos and a big family day, but I suppose nothing lasts forever.

Me to Chris. Hubby does wash up for me most of the time. I am trying to be positive about tomorrow. Upsides, the weather is supposed to be dry for the next few days so shed drying out but I have contacted trading standards so will wait and see what they say. Have a lovely day tomorrow everyone.

Hubby used to dry the dishes for me on Christmas day at one time, but I think he got fed up of doing it because one Christmas quite a few years ago out he went and bought 'ME' a dishwasher . We haven't been without one since
