Daily Thread Wednesday 31st January 2018

Morning all. Gordon couldn't resist (see last post for Tuesday). Hm how do I open the bonnet? Not been out yet, peeing down and very dark still, Why have we had such atrocious weather this winter? Never known one like it in all my born years.
Have a good dayall. Resisted commenting on the husky thread. Why do people get the wrong dog and want them to live outside with no company. grrr!! Nuf said.

Morning brenda and griff.
Thank you all for the well wishes for Gill Peter's update last night not so good.
He was saying she looked really ill ab's not working like they did last time 3 weeks ago, cannot get blood from her tried everywhere so specialist doctor going in today to try.
Scan scheduled for sometime last night to take a look at the tumour they now say they think that is the issue we tried to tell them that 3 weeks ago and that is causing her pain also when she gets the infection.
So have to wait now for more updates from Peter who will be visiting again this afternoon.

Hope all goes well with your hospital visit griff.
Also hope everyone is well and all four legged friends are to.

Good morning all. My hubby says it was bucketing down this morning, but I was in the land of nod so, thankfully, wouldn't know. It is clearing up now and the rain has just about stopped .

Oh Lynn. I do hope they can help relieve Gill's pain. Bless her, she is really going through the mill.

Off out soon for our 'same old, same old', but the cafe has been closed for maintenance for two days for maintenance so looking forward to my cafe brekkie as it should be open again today.

Good morning all.
We were planning on popping over to the cemetry to see Dad but Mom is still coughy spluttery and got a cold lurking away behind that I think; so not risking it health wise given the weather.

So not sure what my plan is now got some washing in its work stuff mostly but looks like a radiator drying day.

Lynn I do hope all gets easier.

Good morning everyone

So sorry about Gill do hope that they can ease her pain. Hugs to you all.

Hope mum's cough soon goes and the cold is not long lasting for her Kazz.

Good luck at the hospital Griff.

Dull and wet here. Have managed to get my morning walk in. Nothing on the agenda today so have sorted out some paper work and that has reduced the file a bit

Hope all are keeping well

Have a good day and stay safe.

Trust you are all doing OK. I know some of you have aches, pains and other troubles. If I could wave that magic wand......

Yes, it rained here heavily too. No sooner had I got Max's raincoat on hen it stopped. Oh, well, it could have started again when we were out - but it didn't. And we had a good long walk.

My dear wife is out gallivanting with with Lovely Liz so I'm left to look after myself. And that dog.

Lovely walk. No rain, some sunshine even, but a biting wind again.

Lovely cafe brekkie too.

What more could you ask for? (except perhaps a dropping of the icy wind)

Awwww Lynn, so sorry Gill is suffering so much...it's really not fair
Chris, pleased your Brekkie was good and you had a good walk
Sue...you never have a day of doing just "nothing" ever...do you? Lol
Kazz, hope your mum is better soon, apparently that cough/cold is absolutely awful and really hangs on
Hospital was good....they called and asked could i go early..i said no as i rely on buses when nobody is around...managed to get there 30 mins early and i did get seen earlier than my appointment. I have a new consultant, he is really nice and i am going to get on fine with him! i am not being racist but being hard of hearing and being given consultants with thick accents is quite frustrating...i struggle to understand what they are saying and want me to do..no bother with this chap at all, talked with me, not at me, explained exactly what he was doing and why and has already established that i am quite tough Lol we have discussed my condition and he wants to see me every 3 months...i was 6 months then yearly and then when my nosebleeds begun again i went back to 6 months
treated myself to a mooch round b&m...bought myself......nothing!!! got my mum and dad some stuff and a couple of bits for Steve, my treat is tonight...seeing my cousin and will treat myself to a box of fries and a coffee in ikea Lol

Glad you like your new consultant Griff makes a diference. I think you are right with the cough cold thing this is the one Mom had over the Christmas period I am certain, it never went just regrouped and came back fighting and kicking.

Took Mom a nice drive out and had a thought to stop for coffee and cake but she did not feel up to it, so returned to home. Popped out and picked up a few bits and pieces shopping wise after settling Mom in with tea and a sarnie.

Right not much up here baked potatoes with cheese tonight or dinner nice and simple.
