I didn't look at the pics as I would get upset. I am thrilled to hear he has been rescued and hopefully will get a fab new home soon.

What kind of a son of a ***** would do that? Surely, they could have found him a home instead of doing this evil?

This is actually quite a common occurance - owners do it so the dog cannot be traced back to them through the tattoos in their ears. A lot of these dogs are from Ireland, my retired grey is Irish bred and was abandoned at a kennel.

You are so right it is a very common occurance, these dogs are nothing more than money making machines and as soon as they stop they need to be got rid of! The owners cannot even be bothered to pay the price for the dogs being pts!

What you have to remember is that to the vast majority involved in racing greys they are a commodity - not a dog or a living breathing creature just a means of making money, once it out lives its usefulness thats it ! A dog is not for life thats for sure.

This is not a one off it happens to many many dogs and thats if they are lucky!
