Dog found with ears cut off

I read this in my local paper yesterday. The greyhound was found with his mouth and legs taped lying on a verge. They think he was a racer and has had his ears cut off to stop the owners being traced.

Its just around the corner from me, we often walk here.

Bless him I hope he enjoys his new home and makes a full recovery!

Totally disgusting it makes me feel sick. I hope they find who did it but think its doubtful that they will.

There are photo, videos and the full story on the link

He already has a home with the vet nurse who has been looking after him, she also has another ex racer so im sure he will have a lovely life with her.

People can be so evil. Why didn't they just take him to a dog's home. No living creature deserves such cruelty. That is so lovely that the vet nurse will love him and keep him. Bless him.

Sadly he will have been a racer from Ireland & it will have been his owner that abused the dog, he's very lucky to be alive as around here they usually kill them & then cut their ears off

BARBARIC. I think this is the horrid side of greyhound racing ancd why I cant support it at all. There will be someone who knows whose dog this was and they are as guilty as the culprit if they dont come forward - absolutely unnecessary and I assume they were wishing the poor dog would die. he is very lucky and I hope he has a wonderful new life.

I had the story sent me the other day,by Greyhound rescue.

So sad to do such a evil thing. So glad he has a home now.

There was another one too, that I had an alert sent me about, he had been found with a bullet in his head and still alive, unfortunately he had to be PTS.
