A bit of a difference...

This time last week Pereg was in the throes of a 36 hour seizure period, followed by nearly four days of on/off/on/off bad post-ictal behaviour.

About an hour ago I wanted to go across to the macolet to buy some fruit and vegetables, and Madam kept rushing out of the door as I tried to drive out. She had her long rope clipped on but I wanted her in the house, not outside, but would she go in? Like heck she would!

No alternative but to get her back indoors and clip her onto the chain leash which is fixed inside the door, just for the 15-20 minutes I would be out, but did not bother to unclip her rope because as soon as I came back I would unclip the leash so she could rush out.

So there I was, just about to drive into the macolet when I heard her barking, and thought 'angonnaminim - how can I hear her barking when she is indoors and I was not even wearing my hearing aid? Looked over and she had opened the door, which I had not bothered locking and was as far as she could get, barking in her happy happy happy voice.

As I did not want the door wide open while I was inside the shop and could not see either it or her, I came back to put her inside and close and lock it.

Went back across the road to get my shopping and came home to find that the little booger had bitten cleanly through the plaited cord that I use to keep the door slightly ajar so she can go out/come in when she wants, and had also bitten through her rope.

She had also decided to chop her rope up into short pieces and was waiting for me with a soppy grin on her face!

Little booger is obviously feeling better!

Glad to hear Pereg is feeling better even if it means she is up to mischief.

Thanks! I would far rather have mischief than the way she was [wipes brow smiley]

Pereg says thanks for the cuddles! I will take some photos when I have time - the first harness was a bit too big so had to get a slightly smaller one. Looks great with the matching collar!

And long may it last [but I dare not hold my breath...] - I just take it day by day with her at the moment.
