Riley - 6 month old Husky in Abertysswg

Riley is a 5 month old male husky and is currently on foster in Abertysswg.

The Riley Fact File

Dog status: Very good.
Cat status: Unknown
Child status: Good. Would be rehomed with children over 5.
House training: Very good.
Home alone: Can be left for short periods.
Basic training: Learning the basics.

Riley is a stunning dog and will grow into a very handsome dog.

Riley is great with other dogs. He is in foster with 2 malamutes and a Shar-pei and is would be able to be rehomed with or without canine company. He has not met cats or small furies but may be able to rehomed with dog savvy cats with the correct introductions and a confident owner.

Riley is in an adult only foster home but he has be actively socialised with people outside the home and has been great with everyone he has met. We are advising older children as Riley is now at the age when he is getting big and boisterous and can be mouthy.

Riley is fully housetrained as long as he is let out regularly and is quickly learning the basics of training. He understands sit and wait and is learning to walk nicely on the lead. His new owners will need to take Riley to training classes to continue his training and socialisation. Riley will only be able to go off lead in secure areas as a breed they do have a tendency to just run and husky owners can often be found wandering aimlessly! He is an active dog who needs an active owner and he would benefit from “doing”

Riley has been left for short periods with canine company and has been fine however due to his age and bred characteristics he will not be rehomed with full time workers and will need someone who is in for most of the time. He has shown no possessive or destructive behaviour while in foster except for loving his chewy toys! He travels well in the car and has been fine at the vets.

In summary Riley is stunning young dog who will give back what you put in. He will need a home where his socialisation with other dogs in continued and there would be someone in for a majority of the time.

We do not rehome puppies to full time workers

Puppies must also be taken to training classes and this will be followed up. If you do not know of training classes in your area please research this before you contact us about rehoming.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered (if over 6 months), vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and micro-chipped prior to adoption. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK.
