Don't know the breed but for anyone thinking of breeding for' fun take notice of this!!! I am very upset by this!!!!!

VETS in Hucknall are making an unusual request in order to save the
lives of nine puppies.
They were born by caesarean section at Buckley House vets in Hucknall
this morning, but the mother died.
Now the practice is on the look out for another dog that has given
birth in the last few days who could provide them with milk.
For the pups to stand the best chance of living they need milk
containing colostrum, which boosts the immune system and is produced
by bitches in the days after birth.
Graham Oliver, principal at the practice, said: "The bitch was 15
months old. It was an unplanned pregnancy and the owners weren't
really aware.
We performed an emergency Cesarean this morning.
"Puppies can be quite successfully hand-reared but the success rate
is trebled by their receipt of colostrum, which is the first milk the
bitch produces .
"There will be people who live locally with a bitch that has had one
or two puppies or puppies that have died and we need to find them
today."

I got, many years ago, an 8 months old female puppy, and at the same time I got a kitten... The dog started lactating for the kitten immediately, even though she had never given birth... So maybe any female dog, who's old enough and hasn't been desexed..
