Watching the TV

Does anyone elses dogs watch the TV? Cain basically ignores it unless there are other dogs on the telly. He doesn't really respond to sound but he can spot a dog on the TV from a mile off before it's made a sound. We're big kids in this house and love our doggy films and Cain's reaction to Homeward Bound, Hotel For Dogs and Marley & Me have been hilarious. He'll stare at the screen or put his nose on it. The only other thing he's payed attention to was the football, think it must have been those vuvuzelas. He even watches the dog training DVDs....if only dog training was that simple lol! Do your dogs watch TV?

Yes-it is more entertaining watching them than watching the tv sometimes!

Parker's favourite programme is Sherlock Holmes on ITV3.
Do you know why he likes it? All those flipping horses! he loves wuffing at them.

The funny thing is a while ago whenever we were watching detective stories, as soon as the murderer came on screen Parker would growl at them! Good job I had already read the books as it would seriously ruin the programme for me. It was really strange. We were also watching an Easter film and he growled as soon as Judas came on screen! Perceptive pooch!

They are funny to watch, aren't they!
Stone only watches if there are noisy animals on the TV.
Though if a car door slams or a door bell rings then he runs to the front door.....which is odd.....as we don't have a door bell !

Ayla watches tv too.

She will sit and watch football, horse racing, (anything with animals really )

Her fave films seems to be eight below and snow dogs, she'll sit there howling at the tv,

although one time she did launch herself at the tv as she heard a dog growling and nearly broke the tv

Tilly will watch other dogs on TV and does this funny little ''oof'' noise at them. Although she HATES the specsavers advert where the farmer whistles to his sheep dog. She can be out in the garden and as soon as she hears that whistle, she charges in and barks like crazy at the TV. Mad dog!

Haha, funny you should mention Homeward Bound!
My dog completely ignores the TV except for that one film...and it's not the dogs he's interested in, it's the part where the mountain lion tries to attack the dogs...he hates that bloody lion!

Monty likes to watch the tv. His favourites are "One Man and His Dog" and basically any nature programme. He currently loves the advert with the cow running on the beach.

He also likes to watch sport, quite funny really!

Haha I was just thinking about this! We just watched Legally Blonde 2 (Okay, not quite as good as Homeward Bound, I haven't watched them in aaaages!) and she kept doing funny little 'uff uff's at the chihuahua on the TV!

She also talks to the cows on that butter advert and basically anything where there are dogs. We've been banned from watching RSPCA Australia together because she goes absolutely nuts whenever that's on!

She also talks to the washing machine

Bailey always responds to dogs on the TV and will watch them for ages. But he also cocks his head and approachs the TV when a baby is crying.
Marshall is just starting to respond to noisy dogs on the TV.
