Sorry no experience of thyroid cancer in a dog.

I do hope you have a good quality of life left with her. Sending best wishes.

Our eldest Boxer we lost in June last year had thyroid disease, it was not cancerous though. My heart goes out to you.

What options has the vet given you?

to be honest i wasnt very impressed,he felt her throat told me it felt like a tumor and gave her some steriods.i explained she had had an ear infection prior to the lump on her throat but he didnt seem interested, and the lump as come from no where really quickly.

Did he not do blood tests or even suggest a scan/xrays? If not i think i would change my vet/seek second opinion. Is there any other vets in the practice? Unless he is trying conservative measures first..
