Shamus flushed a pheasant!

My rescue shorthaired pointer Shamus, who when I got him plodded along on the path looking slightly bored is well on his way to becoming a Proper Dog. Today we were in rough country when a pheasant exploded out of some bushes, with Shamus right behind. This is the first time he`s flushed out game - and wasn`t he so pleased with himself. He does the Beginners Test on Sunday at Working Trials club, so fingers crossed. I know it`s all very small stuff, but it`s so nice to see him coming out of his shell.
