Growing lettuce indoors
Please does anyone know if there is any type of (fast growing)lettuce that will grow indoors over winter

The types where you tear of a leaf or two work well on a window sill, you can grow a mixture in one pot. If you grow from seed have a look for packs of mixed salad leaves they work very well.
