But then again..seems strange that those who participated last year didn't participate this year

Depends on the health of the human and the dog, could be sick or pregnant any number of reasons why they may not take place this year although they did last.

I was at the Cani cross stand today as somebody who came to the DD stand does it with their Border, I was looking at a video they were showing and I asked a lady about the NI's that compete (having seen this thread yesterday) she said she had never heard of them!!!

Dawn it is not really surprising, unless you have one or read this forum you would not know about them and if you don't know and you saw one would just accept it as a cross.

If you are in the habit of reading the more dubious papers and web sites that advertise dogs for sale I suppose you may know about them but even then would not really know what you would be looking for and in all probability you would not care enough to find out.
