This threads for Dobie Girl who cant get on DB for abit today, Roxy has spots on her chin could they be related to her teething?
What action is required? A vet visit or will they clear up on their own?

Some dogs get spots like acne.
Teagan has had them from being quite young, and has an outbreak at the moment (she is 2)

They are not related to teething it probabiy due to her age being teenage acne. It depends how bad they are as to what i would do, if my male ends up with a chin full he has a 3 week course of antibiotics and that will clear it but the key is to keep their chins as clean and dry as poss so they dont get badly infected.

I burst the spots by squeezing them using tissue or kitchen roll, never with just fingers, they should then shrink and go away if they fill up again do it again. its part and parcel of having a dobe i'm afraid.

my 3 year old bitch still gets them but only 1 now and again.

My German Shepherd got juvenile acne which went away after some treatment, I guess it was like teenagers getting spots!

My dobe used to get them when he was younger -a bit like teenage spots -if they got really big I'd squish 'em with a bit of kitchen roll or sudocreme helps to dry them up -dobes are prone to them

Our young pointers get spots we were told teenage acne we left them alone and they cleared up on their own but if they look infected a course of antibiotics is a good idea.
