Ben Needs a Forever Home - Update

This is Ben, due to illness his previous owner could no longer care for him, he came to us (the kennels I work at) in a poor state, nearly bald due to a flea allergy, its been treated and even though the vet thought his hair may not grow back, its begun to sprout, he's put weight on and is a very happy boy, we think he is about 8 - 10yrs old, he loves human company and loves to play with a ball, we thought we'd found him a home but unfortunatley Ben doesn't like cats so he's back with us and still looking for his forever home, our biggest wish is that he finds it for Christmas .... Can you Help him?

whats his problem with cats dippy do you know?
what i cant understand is how owners let dogs get in such a state... hes a middle ages dog that should be almost bold or in a rescue at his age.
