Muddled thinking and memory loss

My Thyroids meds are suppose to help me with these issues ....People seem to take the memory loss as a joke and the brain funk is just scary... It feels like i am on slow mo sometimes... Dont know how to explain it to my gp,and to be taken seriously..

Have your thyroid levels been checked lately? Vitamin B12? I know several people on another forum I'm on take Jarrows B12 sublingual tablets (a couple with thyroid issues, one with anaemia issues, one with digestive-system related problem) and find they really help, especially with memory issues.

Sorry to hear that, my OH is going through the same thing, including weight gain. I didn't know about B12 - thanks for the tip.

You can ask anout Armour thyroid (it is animal derived) though or naturthyroid. This will help the the T1,3 and 3 not just 4.

Don't feel silly, Its one of the first signs that you are too low! I quite regularly have problems with speech, almost developing a stutter when I am low! It almost feels as if my head is very foggy!

There's a bit of a thyroid geek on a dog forum I'm on - not surprised because she has an unusual form of hypothyroid herself and has/has had several dogs with thyroid issues so done lots of reading up on it. It's something she's mentioned as being fairly common to see alongside hypothyroidism apparently!

I have an autoimmune problem called Ord's thyroiditis...

My thyroid has shrunk instead of being enlarged ..
