Bawling my eyes out with relief!

After 15 months of agonising operations, chemo, radiation, platelet transplants, kidney dye function and heart function tests my little 5 yr old step grandson (4 when diagnosed) has today been given the ALL CLEAR!

It was a serious type and a rare type but ... he beat cancer's sorry ****!

Can't find words to express my feelings and how happy I am that my son and his partner and all 4 kids might now be able to resume a more 'normal' life with respite from the thrice weekly hospital runs and scares.

He was diagnosed with it on the same day his baby sister was being born in the same hospital.

I am SO glad I am here in the UK to hear this.

Thank you Smokeybear - still can't stop bawling! It's like it was welling up for more than a year. We've all tried to be so upbeat for brave little Harvey and he won awards from the Cancer Societies for being such a trooper and he has never stopped smiling, not once, ever, since he was diagnosed. An inspiration to us all and it certainly puts other problems into perspective. Oh boy I need a drink!
