Phone Scam

I had notification from our local neighbourhood watch that there was a scam where someone would ring and ask for personal details and details of your computer.
This is to gain access to you computer and find more of your details.

I have now had three of these calls. All from an Asian sounding man. 1471 says they do not have the callers number.

Police advice is obviously to hang up immediately and NEVER give these details to anyone.

Just a reminder really to always be alert.

Handy to know, thanks Jen.

There's another one too going around. They pretend to be from your credit card company, saying that they have noticed strange withdrawls from your account and would like to check it out with you, and that all sounds pretty legit, so you listen on. They already have your card details because they've already stolen those from the net, but what they don't have, is the 3 digit code from the back, so they continue, and give YOU your credit card number etc. so again, you think it's definitely legit. They then go on to ask you to confirm those last 3 digits, and the rest, well......
