When you do get him back try putting butter on his paws, it gives him something to do whilst they are kept in and for some reason it settles them. Maybe an old wives tale, by hey, it's worth a try.
Hope he comes back soon.

It is an old wives tale and one of the more useless ones - it was supposed to give them a trail to follow to find their way home

Phew, thank goodness !!!!
Time to seal up every escape route for at least the next four weeks once your nerves have had chance to calm
