Air guns should be banned. So sorry to hear tht this happened to Doris, comforting cuddles coming your way and healing vibes for poor little Doris.

How awful for you, poor Doris. I'd shoot the person who did this to her in a heartbeat if I had half a chance

Doris is now home, she looks terrible and has quite a big hole in her face which I am having to wipe four times a day just to keep it clean to prevent an abcess forming within the wound, she has one of those horrible lampshades on too to stop her cleaning herself to prevent infection, shes on antibiotics and painkillers which seem to be knocking her out as shes sleeping more than she usually does, she also seems a bit skittish around Jess (yet these two usually love each other to bits so maybe they were just kids that did this )
She's back at the vets on tuesday just to see how things are healing, hopefully everything will be healing up nicely by then, I can't bare to think about wether or not she will need more treatment because of the mindless idiot that shot her it's been very upsetting for me and Jess seeing her like this
