If you had to choose....

Would it be him (or her) or the Dog?
Following on from the `kids or dogs` thread -
if push came to shove - would you dump the OH or the dog?

As I`m divorced (yeyy!!) and have 4 dogs you can see how I feel about it.

It depends....
if it was him making me choose, I'd choose the dogs because if he forced me to make a decision like that, he isn't the guy I think he is.

if there was some other reason why I absolutely had to choose, much as I really love my dogs, I do love OH more and would choose him (though if you asked him, he'd say that I'd pick the dogs)

As in the other thread, it would be my dogs over any man.

I could never give up my dogs and could never be without a dog. Unless something meant that I really couldn't have a dog, for example a serious illness (touch wood - hairy wood is best!) which meant I couldn't look after them properly if I had nobody to help me, then I would always have dogs and no man could ever dictate that.

And if a man ever asked me to choose between between him and the dogs....well, I think you've got your answer.

I'm with you on this one - my OH would prob say I would choose the dog too

although i think he'd pick his dog over me too so its all good as long as neither insults or hurts the others dog in anyway im sure we shall live happily ever after haha

Mikka used to cause me and the OH to fall out! When Mikka had done something destructive the OH would say he would have to go... the next time he would have to go.... the next he is definitely going....

I would cry beg.... and eventually lie to cover up. I would have rather left with Mikka than to let him go.

It wasn't until Mikka passed away that I confessed all the things he had done, that I had covered up for - the OH was the last to know!

I loved that dog... and he loved me.

Definately the dogs..........

I would choose the dogs every time, we had this discussion many years ago and he would get rid of me over the dogs too.

Mind you I would like to be rid of him anyway!
