Urgent transport tomorrow, M6 Lymm Services - Huncote, Leicestershire

The following dog needs transport from Merseyside - Huncote, Leicestershire on Fri 22nd August 2008.

Name: Tom
Sex: male
Breed: Staffy
Approximate age: 2 yrs
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Microchipped: no
Description: Brindle with some white markings, small in size
Comments: Very friendly, well mannered boy who will sit when asked.
Transport Requirements: Must be separated from any other dog and secured during transit. Must arrive at the rescue by 2.30pm.

The route is approx 134 miles and 2 3/4 hours. If anyone can do the whole route to save stress on Tom please get in touch. If you can do part of the route then please let me know.

Petrol/Diesel costs can be covered if need be, please don't be worried about asking.

The dogs will be signed over to Rochdale Dog Rescue on collection using the RDR Transport Forms and will remain under the care of RDR during transit.

All regular RDR transporters will have received a Welcome pack on joining, with the necessary insurance, health & safety and other important information. New volunteers will be given the same pack and asked to read this information fully before they are asked to transport a dog.

The feedbacks for Tom have all been very good, all say he is a friendly, well behaved dog.

There were several transport run yesterday, the transporters worked together by working out a way were one could do an extra short run so it left another to do this one.

Our transporters are wonderful.

This dog is on his way or may even have arrived at the rescue.

Not close enough to helop, but it's good to know you found help and he is on his way to safety.
