Off to 'All about dogs' this weekend.

So I'm taking Malcolm to his first show this weekend.

All about dogs is on near me so I'm going with some friends. I've aquired myself a Bandit holder person so that I can concentrate on Malc and reward any good behaviour.

I'm hoping to go to a few smaller shows before we hit the Royal Cornwall show in June in order to get Malcolm prepared. I'm going both days but will judge whether Malc goes on Sunday or not depending on how Saturday goes. The really nice thing is that All about dogs last year was Bandit's first show It's perfect as it's so close and not too big.

We won't be entering anything, it's purely an opportunity to have a doggy day out but I'm quite excited all the same

Good luck at the show, I'm sure you'll both have a great time. You may decide to enter something if all is going well

Have fun

Well we've been and I'm very proud of Malc.

We got there early and positioned ourselves near the entrance behind a fence and Malc did some training to calm him down. He was very quickly settled enough to look at the other dogs and look back to me. We met up with my friends, one of whom walked Bandit for me

They all had a good time and Malc only squeaked at the odd dog. He met many and was very good throughout. He did occasionally decide people needed a Malcolm hug but luckily he made no contact with anyone, muddy paws and all!

Here they are waiting near the gate -

Malcolm has worked hard and is absolutely knackered now -

Bandit is spending the night at Dad's so it'll just be Malcolm and me tomorrow with my other friends, who knows maybe we will actually do some of the games
