He is a real gem of a son. When my last dog died - he got himself over to Cyprus PDQ and stayed here for 3 months with me entreating me every day to get another dog. He'd be saying stuff like 'Mum, you are just not MUM without a dog!'

It was another 2yrs before I did.

Such a wonderful photo of your two lovely dogs. Little Daisy must wonder what has happened to her life since Barney arrived. Shane have you dared tell Daisy just how big Barney is going to get.
Daisy often curls up into a tiny space anyway, she's not one for spreading out.
No, I've not mentioned how big he will get
She braces herself when he runs at her now
I now have a signal (a noise I make like "BUB") that means "watch me" and I use it as an easy and quick way to stop him if he runs at her.
She's also started telling him off more successfully.

Hi Shane, as soon as she successfully tells Barney off when he runs as her it will stop him doing it. Unfortunately Rucksack has only twice told Flash off, but when he did Flash immediately stopped. Flash definitely isn't doing it out of nastiness he is just such an excitable dog. Rucksack is a much more sensitive dog and its not in his nature to bully Flash Unfortunately when Flash is in one of his 'deaf excitable moods' no noise (whistle, shout) will stop him. My two do adore each other and I wouldn't be without them Daisy and Barney are clearly very good friends too.
