Dribbling...

For the past couple of days Roxy has been licking her bits more often. Tonight I noticed she had slightly dribbled underneath when relaxing.

Obviously it could be a number of things, from incontinence to a UTI to crystals of some description.

She doesn't appear to have trouble peeing and is very lively and seems well in herself.

Oh well, guess I'll be handing in a urine sample to the vet tomorrow!

I think she's set out to have a record number of vet visits this year.

Any ideas?

I'm far from being an expert but it sounds a bit like a UTI. Especially as she has been licking, that sounds like an irritation.

Hope she is ok, keep us informed of how she gets on.

Thanks Jen, I'll collect a sample first thing in the morning and see if they want it when I phone tomorrong for an appointment.

Hi Nicola, could this be a mucus discharge rather than urine, if so it could be Vaginitis.

Oh dear - perhaps Roxy misses her trips to the vet

Good luck at the vet with that sample, and I am sure that it will be just a mild infection given that she doesn't seem to be in any discomfort.

Oh dear poor Roxy. Hopefully it'll just be a UTI which can be treated with abs. I always hoped that one of my sons would become a vet or even a nephew or niece, but alas not ...... so full exorbitant prices are paid by me as well.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Any updates on Roxy?
If it's a UTI, cranberry helps for it and is also a preventative.

Took a sample in to the vets this morning, they did a dipstick test and it all showed up normal, so the vet reckons it's age related.

Got an appointment tomorrow morning to see where we go from here.
