Roxy had a check up yesterday. The vets are more than happy with her and how she is in herself - all lypmh glands are fine and there is no regrowth of the tumour.

Given that information and the fact that she's had two aspirations around the wound site since surgery that show all is well, they are happy to leave her check ups for another couple of months, which takes her two 6 months post op which is when they like to see them again and if all is well then, that'll be her for 6 months.

Delighted at this and, as much as I love the Glasgow Vet School, I'm SO glad we have a break from going there - it's not far away, only a 35 minute drive each way - but glad we're getting a break from vets for a while. Hopefully it'll stay that way! Both dogs have been warned to NOT to develop anything else!

Sorry only just seen this, I am pleased that the news is good.

I used to have dog that kept developing lumps, when she came into the pound she had to massive ones, one on her leg the there her side, a rescue paid to have them taken off then she came to me to foster but never left.

Ellie kept developing lumps, with her history the smaller they were when taken off the better, she was operated on about 3 times a year, this included spaying in her first year.

Talking to my vet who is a consultant for his type of problem, he said he had never seen anything like it, most dogs stop developing them but she didn't. Some were malignant some weren't but still had to be taken off.

Ellie was with me for 5 years, yes they did eventually stop developing because my vet used to take very wide margins and it worked.

Good luck, it is worrying when they get so many lumps but like Ellie, hopefully they will eventually stop developing.
