Dogsey

A family in Virginia USA who rescued a stray kitten from a concrete site, soon became concerned when she refused to drink from a bottle. The hungry cries of the kitten, named Precious by the family, had an incredible effect on Honey, the family dog. The family had kept the two apart, fearing that Honey, a 7-year-old Golden Retriever, might be too rough with the kitten.

However their fears were unfounded. When she was eventually allowed to approach the kitten, Honey was very affectionate. Within days, Honey, who had given birth 18 months previously, produced milk and began to nurse Precious.

It appears that Honey began to teach Precious the ways of the world, as the family reported that the kitten seemed to think she was a dog and enjoyed playing with bones and gnawing on Honey.
