2012

This is the latest offering from director Roland Emmerich (the creator of "Independence Day" and "The Day After Tomorrow", so be ready for spectacular special effects and, as it's an "End of the World" epic, lots of tight sub-plots and "will they make it or not?" moments. Also, lots of screaming, of course.

Well-enough acted by a troupe of reasonably well-known names, great effects, but the plotline didn't really grab me. A good-enough time-passer.

And the good bit? The little dog gets rescued!

Snorri

next - James Cameron's Avatar. once I've worked out what it's about!

It was a bit ordinary, wasn't it!! It had the tone of the past movie's and now see why as it was the same creator!
It was the dog getting saved that I really liked too, not much else, I played on the computer and watched it at the same time as my attention waned a lot.
Avatar, hmmmmm not sure on that one, not really into that type of movie but OH wants to, so I am sure at some stage I will be watching it.

The storyline wasn't the best, but I did enjoy it, nevertheless.

We are watching Avatar tonight!

Avatar was amazing on the big screen in 3D...not sure what it will be like on a small screen tbh.I have resisted getting it as I don't want to be disappointed. It is the special effects that pull you into the world of Pandora and give you such an emotional response to the storyline!

I thought 2012 was a bit boring and predictable!

It depends what you call a 'small screen'! lol
We watched it on our 48" on blu-ray, looked fab! (Got a 52", but didnt watch it at all on that!)

Then we watched it on a small (and I mean VERY small) flat screen TV in my BF's parents caravan on DVD, and it still looked pretty good!

Didn't see it at cinema though, so nothing to compare it to lol

I think I may have bought the wrong film

Last night we watched 2012 Doomsday and it was nothing like the advert on the tv, with all the special effects, and there wasn't a little dog in it either It was really rubbish infact, both Clive and I agreed it was the worse film we had ever watched.

I feel a bit stupid now
