Daily Chat Saturday 16th April

Good morning everyone

We had a very good long tiring day yesterday. Saw changing of the Guard, very crowded and very hot but the girls really enjoyed it. Then walked round Westminster looking at the Abbey and Houses of Parliament, found a McDonalds for lunch and the obligatory loo stop. Then did the science museum, which only the eldest was really interested in and then hopped into the Natural History Museum but they closed at 5.00 pm (which they didn't't say when booking the time slot) so a quick look and on reflection it would have been better to spend time there as they really enjoyed the brief time spent. Finally over to Covent Garden where the street entertainers really kept the girls amused. Then Leicster Square and China Town, quick bite to eat then off the catch the train home. All in all we walked about 14 miles. Lazy day today I think

Morning Sue and all to come. Pleased to hear you had a lovely day. I am off for my walk Sue but it won't be 14 miles just around 3 probably. Nice and sunny here so an earlyish walk before it gets to warm for me. Have a good day and everyone else.

Lovely day here, off into the garden to read my book been busy this morning.

Sue your day sounds lovely, when do they all move here full time? I adore the Natural History Museum as well.

Gorgeous weather. Just right for me.

Town is packed to the rafters and already last night was a problem for the police with a street brawl outside a pub apparently.

Why do people feel the need to drink themselves stupid when on holiday

Sounds like a lovely day Sue, but I think (no I know) my legs would have given out with all the mileage.
