Dahlia the silly agility dog

I started agility with Dahlia in 2010. I had no idea what to expect really as she wasn't your usual agility dog. She was calm and sweet and super mellow. But she also lacked a lot of confidence and had no real sense of fun. So I thought, why not? Luckily, a nearby training place took us on board. I'm so thankful too, because Dahlia has becoming a different dog., Happier, more willing to try new things, and a lot more confident. She's not a perfect agility dog by any means and still has her days where she's really slow, but she's so much better at it and really just loves the classes. I thought I'd share a video of my dorky girl running in class last October.

You can see it here if you want to watch her!

Good video. The video says 2013 and last October would have been 2014, BTW. She looks a LITTLE slow on the high hill, and I thought I heard whining, so perhaps she's a little scared? Maybe lower it a tad. Great job by her, and looks like fun.

The whining was probably from one of the dogs in the crates (behind the camera person, so you can't see them -- we have some real whiners/barkers in class!). D doesn't make a peep on any of the videos!

We're still working out her A-Frame performance. She either flies over it and can't stick her 2on/2off or she goes slow and sticks it. She's gotten better since then but she still struggles with putting on the brakes when she's moving fast.

And you're right. It was the October before. Dang is it 2015 already? I've lost track of time! I guess I need to get a more recent video!

I loved the video, looks like Dahlia was enjoying it, I wish I had something like that for my Poppy, it would be so funny trying to get her to do the same things!

She is really enjoying her agility classes! She hates trials, but she enjoys class and I'm glad she has that time with me.
