Crikey - this takes me back....... we had an afghan many years ago.

The one that used to live nextdoor to me as a child was terribly matted and couldn't bear to be touched - as I found out when she bit me on the chest when I stroked her head.

He does look gorgeous 'tho and will possibly end up as big, if not bigger, than your Newfies.

My auntie always had afgans they are lovely dogs. She would always buy me the "What a mess" books. They were about a afgan who would always be up to something he shouldn't.

I agree with Hali-I wouldn't have been able to guess what breed he was either but he is seriously gorgeous!

A work colleague had one but he said it was incredibly dim but you can't have everything!! They are so glamorous but I don't envy you all the grooming.
