First flyball session!

Takara's first flyball session went really well!

Okay, so she did grab the ball and jump over the back of the board at first... but after that she was great, and really enjoyed herself!

She was absolutely fine with all of the other dogs, greeted them all nicely while she was on the lead and ran alongside them with no problems at all. I think it will do her a lot of good.

We got back at 3:30 after two hours at flyball and she slept until this morning

Oh and they want her to compete with the team in a comp on the 1st November!!

haha! That's something Takara is most definitely not...

Garlic sausage does seem to help her speed up...

Sounds like you might be at the same place as us Nov 1st - all our dogs are new to it too so you won't be the only nervous one!

Thanks WarFlyball! Yeah, they offered for me to go along to one on Saturday but I'll have to decline as I can't get there but looking forward to Nov 1st if a little bit anxious!

You'll be fine, my new rescue is doing the starters and Toby has already competed for a couple of years - he was very hit and miss when he first started and I found that flyballers were all lovely and happy to help with anything... They are all a really nice bunch so try to relax and you'll have a great time I'm sure
