agility clubs west midlands

Hi, can anyone here from the west midlands area i.e. bham, tamworth or as far as leicester way recommend an agility club? Im currently going through the list on agilitynet but wondered if anyone could recommend?
I used to go to one in leicester but she stopped the weekend training and now has stopped evening training altogether as she has had to have her lovely great dane, ben put to sleep so i really need a club as ive got lots of competitions coming up!

The GSD club that I have just left does agility "when the weather is nice" and they are a GSD only, decent club.

If you find one, would you let me know please as I would love to get Jess involved in agily as both she and I love it

Hi,

The local club I go to does agility but again, it's only in the decent weather. It's on a Wednesday evening and anyone can join in for fun, but they run it at an advanced level for thos who wish to continue further for it.

The GSD club Jen has suggested is very good. I went to have a look with a view to taking Zane their (my 13 month old GSD) but it was at a time when he was moved up into the intermediate and then the ad=vanced class of where he is at the local club. I intend to keep him there until he gets bored then will move him to the GSD club most likely, if only for a change of scenery.

I have details of a flyball club in Water Orton if you're interested.

There are a few competition orientated clubs around Birmingham.
I train with Veseyan, which is sister club to Beacon, up Sutton Coldfield way.

There is also Packington DTC in Solihull, Bromsgrove who i think train over Romsley/Halesowen way...i think and Agility Addicts who are Albrighton, staffs

Details for all on agilitynet

Hiya I train in Redditch/Hanbury we have a number of people who compete (me being one of them) it is on a mon eve. But might be too far for you. I also know of a club that trains near Wythall which I could get the details for if you were interested. I no some of their members compete. Hope you find somewhere.

Wythall is the one I was on about. They only do agility when the weather is right as it is a solely outdoor venue.

I knew they were outside but did not realise it was only when the weather was good, sorry. Where we train it is at an indoor riding school so is all year round. I train my GSD x there and another GSD also attends. I am just starting my BSD there as well.

It is just outside Hanbury nr Redditch. The dogs are obviously off lead to work but most tend to keep their dogs on lead when not working but they still get to socialise with each, I took my pup there straight away to get her used to other dogs and people. I'm not quite sure how you mean sort of training (blonde moment perhaps!) but we train individual pieces and short runs of pieces and then build that up to whole rounds. Madeline (who is the trainer) is all about positive rewards (toys and or food depending on dogs preference) and if your dog is clicker trained can incorporate that. Hope that helps a little!
