Had a bit of panic last night as Casey was in the kitchen and couldn't get up There was a 'laminate floor' in there when we moved in and a good choice for a kitchen but it is slippy. Poor old boy was slipping and as he's getting a tad wobbly on his back legs he couldn't make it on his own.

I fixed the problem by slipping a sheet under him and lifting, he's heavy but managed to get him up.

He is banned from the kitchen now and will have his dinner elsewhere. I think he was tired yesterday, today he seems much brighter and no probs getting up.

Awwww bless poor lad, we got some of those car showroom rubber backed rugs off a place called splendid pets...great for dogs as they can go in the washing machine...cheap and functional...not that pretty though!

Good idea. We put down a section of stair runner although Max made a game of sliding across the kitchen floor. Our concern was that he might injure himself.
