Good morning Moyra and all who follow

Well done to Mark and hope it gives him better working hours.

Another hot day forecast, don't know what happened to the rain we were forecast. Noting planned so will see what I find to do.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Morning All (just).
Hope everyone is ok including absent friends - come back soon you lot, you are missed.
Just got back from having my gammy knee xrayed.
I'm very pleased with my cool dog bed purchase from B&M. Yesterday I bought a box of lollies and put them on the bed. They stayed frozen! R Whites lemonade lollies are lush, very thirst quenching. Just had one before I psyche myself up to do some weeding.
I may be sometime!

'Afternoon Moyra, Sue, Griff, Twix, Lynn, and all those who follow

Lara went to the vets this morning, primarily to have that minor eyelid thing sorted but also to have a chest X-ray as she has been coughing a bit and previous medication didn't seem to be doing anything.

Well it's not good news. The X-ray shows half of her lungs are full of something, they are not certain what at this point and will send samples to the lab for analysis. Depending what they say we may have to take her to some specialist facility with more advanced X-ray machines.

The eye operation has been put on hold.

When she came to us (Almost exactly a year ago) she would run if you called her and go off into the forest with Casey, but the last few months she hasn't done any of that and has been a tad slow to get in the car for our daily walk.

I'll keep you posted, lab results usually take a few days, going to be a nervous few days I think.

Ohhhhhh no Harvey, i am keeping fingers crossed it is just a infection or something...good job you decided to push ahead with the eyelid op
Twix, did you see the cooling towels up at b&m too?? i think the beds are great, the girls haven't woke me panting since we got them a couple of weeks back
Lynn, Drs was just to check on my blood test from yesterday, my thyroid is fine so my super duper fast pulse is not thyroid related nor diabetes and my weight loss is just me then Lol
ended up in primark, had to get some vests as i don't have very many that fit me now, whilst there i picked up a lovely cold shoulder top and got one for a girl that my mum works with as she gets me stuff when she is in

Phew it's too hot out there to work. Thought I'd have a siesta under the parasol. Sun disappeared under clouds. Move away from parasol, sun comes out again! I can't win so came in with another lolly. No wonder my thighs rub together when I walk now!
Griff I'm wearing one of my Primarni tops. I've got the same style in pink blue and black. I did catch a glimpse of the cooling towels but didn't investigate. The place was heaving and I don't do crowds but I did get a ball launcher in there. Comes with 2 tennis balls, you load it up and pull the trigger. The first time I didn't pull the catch out far enough and the ball launched two feet in front of me which I thought was very amusing.

Lynn I hope you enjoyed your shower. Funnily enough at the hospital today the receptionists were debating if you used lemons or limes in the drink.
Personally I'd take it either way or without!

Harvey sorry to hear your news. As Griff says maybe it could be from an infection. My Mum was told she had ominous shadows on her lungs which turned out to be scarring from a chest infection. Fingers crossed here though. I'm lucky enough to have a vet who also specialises in cardiology. I think Newfie breeders do heart testing now before breeding but if it's an old age thing that's not going to help. BTW, my friend had a dog stretcher made for her dogs to carry in the car after her Goldie nearly severed a foot on glass in a stream.

Dogs are telling me it's teatime so I must away.

Twix...i can't go into primark very often as i spend a fortune ...well not a fortune to most but to me it is!! i spent £16 today, got a cropped cold shoulder vest with metal eyelets on the straps, 3 new vests and a long sleeve striped cold shoulder top...plus the one for mums workmate...so only spent £13 on myself and as none of my clothes fit i had to buy clothes...didn't i? lol
