That looks fab Steph, and I love the colour. It looks brand new Little home from home. Now when you have a blazing row with Pat you can send him 'away to his shed'
Can't wait to sample the goods

If there are any rows.....trace me at the allotment...I will have it like a little palace.

Well done the boys, they have done a great job there. It looks lovely. Between your chooks eggs and the veg, it is like 'The Good Life' at yours

I know They have told me that I can keep chucks on the allotment too, but I'd be afraid of anyone climbing over and pinching them,,,,or worst

Think we'll stick to veg

I had an allotment once when the kids were little. I was the only woman. I worked really hard at it, manuring and using traditional rotation to combat pests etc. I knew I`d been accepted when one of the old boys shyly took me over to the wicker screen on day where they had the stand-pipe they used when they were `caught short`...and proudly showed me the brand new toilet seat now hanging beside it in case I needed to `go`. I was deeply honoured.

Hi Sheph,

I was just wondering if you have any books on allotments and fruit, I have a couple you could have if you'd like, but be warned they are both outdated by know, one is called 'The Allotment Gardener's Handbook' by a very young Alan Titchmarsh, but I found a lot of good tips in it, the other is a bit more up to date and called 'The Fruit Expert' which gives you loads of info on different varieties of fruit

They're yours if you'd like them
