Could some urine be drying on her undercarriage? This sometimes gives Sam a bit of a doggy smell. He has lots of long feathers like Fudge.

Maybe a new food? I'm sure you would've considered that, but I've been fooled in the past, changed kibble or treats & wondered "now what's going on?" when I noticed a change in breath odour etc.

Cassie used to get the same, it's kind of a fishy smell is it? I always put it down to urine on her long furry trousers, especially as you say it went away after she was bathed. Take a look next time she pee's and see if her long trousers are wet in places? I do hope it's nothing sinister, but it shouldn't be, I'm sure it's that old urine smell I used to have with Cass.

Yeah, the anal glands definately smell fishy when they are full.

Bryan sometimes gets pee on the inside of his legs too and it does smell a bit - we only notice when we've not hosed him down for a while when the weather is dry.

Fudge is now looking at me in a very odd way. She has had her ears, bum ,feet and skin sniffed and inspected, all seem fine. It is a musty sort of smell rather than urine and seems to just be a general all over dogginess.Sometimes it is stronger than others.

I guess I will have to keep an eye on her and keep watching for any change in any of the areas so far sniffed and inspected.

A few weeks ago I noticed Tonto was a bit musky, and usually he's as sweet as a nut, so, having had JRT's before who had back anal glands I gave him a bit of a squeeze.... and yes some came out.
I've only had to do it the once (thank god says Tonto!) but he didn't scoot or show any other symptom.

Poor Fudge, she must wonder what on earth you're so interested in her for.

It's probably anal glands Rachel, they do have a musky smell.
