new PM

well, i see we've got a new PM, gordon brown. good luck to him, he's been an excellent chancelor but i don't know if he's got what it takes to be an international statesman. the one good thing you could say about tony blair was that he did get around in the international scene of diplomacy. i thought tony was a poor judge of caracter in some of the people he chose as colleagues, but basically he did'nt do too bad as PM.

I thought Tony Blair was very good and I like Gordon Brown too...I wonder if the publicity people will be able to cure him of his wobbly jaw. I saw from the prog last night he has been doing it since he was a student so it will be a hard habit to break!

To everyone who dislike them, call them for the state the country is in, cast you mind back to when the tories were last in and would you like to go back to that?

I dont think there will be much difference as brown as had a hand in most big topics for a few years anyway. I am willing to give him a chance and am thankful i live somewhere where I can vote him out if he does a poor job.

Well said, that man!

(I was at school with Blair, and it wouldn't be "the done thing" for me to diss him )

I was much better off under a tory government than I am now, and infact I doubt I will ever be able to get back to the position I was.
I can't afford to buy a house, even renting is difficult so unless I win the lottery (which is unlikely as I don't play) then no, I'm not impressed with a labour government at all.
