Overrun with butterflies

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a distinct increase in butterflies this year? all colours, and bee's too? anyone any idea why this is?

no idea why but they are everywhere. I love butterflies there are so many beautiful coloured ones!

Yes got a lot too, but then my garden is a wilderness. They are lovely.
We have a lot of flies too. Hate them!

Kazz we were only saying that today too
our conservatory seems to attract them and we are catching them and putting them outside quite a few times during the day

they also seem so big this year
and very very colourful

i love butterflys

Thats what I noticed too; so big and colourful - maybe its been the right type of year.

Here too, and lovely to see! I used to spend days in the school summer holidays catching butterflies, studying them and of course letting them go again

Loads round our way too - and bees. Did have an infestation of flying ants last week but they seem to have moved on. I love butterflies!

We've got quite a lot too, as well as bees and hovver flies.

We've even had a hummingbird moth which is fascinating to watch (if you're quick enough that is )
