Our house is for sale, we are going to Norway!

The original plan was to wait longer, maybe another year or two. But, the more we thought about it, the more tempting it become.

So now the ball is rolling and several people have already been to view the house. Fingers crossed for it not to take forever!

Here's our current house:

An example of what we can get in Norway for less than £150 000:

I CAN'T WAIT to get more privacy, space and move further away from a crowded area!

Your house is beautiful inside Julie - as is the house in Norway.

Do you speak the language, have jobs over there etc, as I see it was your longer term plan in any event.

You don't fancy Abruzzo in Italy instead do you? I have a friend who is selling the most fantastic cabin in the mountains with loads of land and space. Cue Scout75 with a link to your beautiful cabin in the hills.

Wishing you all the good luck with your move. Please do keep in touch on Dogsey because it would be lovely to know how it works out and how is life with your dog in Norway (You are taking him with you I assume)

Wow your house is stunning! And I doubt it will be on the market long at that price! When I lived in London £160k got you a small flat!

I'd love to move to Norway too ...if it wasn't so cold there

Ditto Moobli's post too - do you have a job lined up? Can speak the language etc?

Lovely house... Now if I could just move it to North London....

Houses in Norway are lovely, stunning views, and you get so much for your money out there.

The house you are selling is beautiful but I understand what you mean about wanting more more privacy and space. I was surprised to see that the total floor area is only 52.6 square metres, as that is less than my small bungalow - your house looks so much bigger.

I wish you all the luck in the world in selling your house quickly and buying your dream home in Norway.

Thanks guys, its all very exciting!
I'm Norwegian so yes, I speak the language pretty fluently, hehe . My boyfriend doesn't though, so he's gonna have to learn and probably take a course when we get there.
We do not have any jobs ready, I think the most practical way will be to sell the house and furniture and then stay with one of my parents while looking for work. We will take anything to start with and then look more specific.
We also have to decide between the area my dad lives, or where my mum is. Where my mum lives there might be better jobs and more money, but.my heart wants to live closer to my dad!

Marvel is ofc coming with us, the BB is legal in Norway so no problem .

I have friends both in Olso and in Oppland.... Last year me and my OH went, flew into Oslo and took the train to our friends place just north of Lillehammer for a few nights before coming back down to Oslo. We saw Musk Ox fairly close up, on our first day, was amazing....I could of stayed for good!

That said we paid almost £5 for half a pint of coke in Oslo
