After the recent upset you wouldn't think this.

This morning hubby woke me up, he was almost crying with pain, and since he has a high pain threshold it must be bad. He had a pain in the right hand side, he's had it before but by the time he got to the docs it had gone, the doc was under the impression it might be gall stones. Unfortunately until now it hasn't returned.

Well this morning, he was being sick, getting shocky, and in agony, he'd been in agony since 1am but 'didn't want to wake me' So I didn't mess about, we got an ambulance, off to the hospital, morphine, blood tests and since he doesn't 'do' needles I was really proud of him.

Turns out it wasn't gall stones, but after an x-ray they found that he is choked full of well...poo. He's badly constipated and he's bloating as a result. The doc at the hospital reckons he has IBS, and has said to him to go to his docs for further testing. So for the moment we've got some movical for him and he's sleeping off the morphine in bed.

Hoping the movical moves things along nicely, and he is better.

On the funny side I always said he was full of....shi...sorry, poo!

Poor man, no wonder he's been cranky!

oh poor man ive had that, trust me its very painfull. i had to have *help* the movicol dont work. and they gave me an enama and what i passed well. i lost 8lb in 1 evening (u figure how) and the pain afterwards. where my insides had been steached. i was in bed for days. hobbled around for days. so he has my upmost sympathy. my prob is due to the meds im on.

Eek, poor bloke. Hope he's home and well soon.
