i have the dyson animal which does the job, but all my floors are wooden or tiles
advantage of the dyson is the dyson groom tool

All my domestic appliances are German and none have needed replacement since their origina purchase.
I have no idea what they cost now, but for me, on a cost per use basis it has worked out extremely good value for money.
