The Sweet Pea growing competion

Feel free to join in
From Nippy's "what are you growing" thread, SueCurrie & I are having a sweet pea growing competition to see whose can do best as although they are so easy to grow I have never been able to grown them in the past & end up with a spindly mess!
This time I'm trying really hard
So Sue, mine are now over 6 inches & nice & bushy at the bottom where I've pinched them out. I keep having a chat with them & trying to help them cling to the string
How are yours?

About 15 cm (I can't do inches well)... god this thread's starting to sound vaguely smutty - got two pots of them going but the peas and mange tout keeps trying to climb onto their wigwams instead of its own.

I think 15cms is a similar size to 6inches
but ooh those naughty mange tout! your'e gonna have to have a word with them about staying on their own wigwams

and here they now, 6 inches..... well when I stretch them out they are
I haven't removed any tendrils yet as I'm still guiding them towards the wigwam, but I have pinched them out a few times so they will be bushy at the bottom I want the circumference to be equal all the way around & all the way up the canes I've just noticed the one on the right is sneaking up the cane a bit since yesterday, so I'd better go & have a word

Lol you will be amazed at how they take off with a little drop of rain and they soon catch up with each other and even out.
