country living for me too! im a country girl at heart and was born and raised in a small village. hate built up areas, and dont plan to move from where i was raised. houses are pretty exspensive round here because undoubtedly you pay for the view, but i wouldnt want to live anywhere else unless it was like where i live now.

this is the view i get when i open my front door, why would i change it admittedly it looks even better when the sun is shining! but for some reason big grey clouds came and took it away today

the building you can see is the local pub, many a fun time had in there

I have to agree with everyone who said somewhere in-between the countryside and sea front. Mind you, saying that I've been brought up in built up areas so I love the lifestyle and diversity that London brings and being able to just pop in and out.

Houses in and around London are crazy, crazy high. I'd consider anything under £6,000,000 any where else a bargain lol

Country living with no neighbours for me

But then I absolutely hate the seaside!! I grew up in cornwall with the beach on my door step and now I cannot stand it! In fact if I never see a beach again that would suit me fine

We have a large bungalow on a big plot(biggish!) yes we have neighbours but their houses are in the middle of their plots, far enough away but near enough if you need a favour, and about 1/2 mile outside the village which has a good selection of shops,2pubs and a brilliant health centre and village school.................love it wouldnt change it

Countryside and no neighbours for me ... and is what I have I love it, and wouldn't want it any other way.

Where I live now has the best of both worlds as we have the reservoir in front of our cottage, 14,000 acres of estate to wander around and sandy beaches and the sea only 20 mins drive away.

I live in very small seaside village with open countryside behind & either end of village. Do have close neighbours but you cant have it all . Have extensive garden which is brilliant for the dogs.

Am having a custom built Cat run built next week - 30 ft lOng, by 6ft high by 5 ft wide & you wont even notice it. Well it will be attached onto the back of the house, getting a cat flap built onto the end of the kitchen side wall which will lead directly into the run

My house overlooks the irish sea.

I guess it may depend what the beaches are like, if dogs are banned for the nice part of the year or stony probably wouldn't be as much of a bonus.

I'd prefer the country option, mainly as i'd love a big garden and some distance from the neighbours as currently were surrounded on all sides, it'd be nice not to feel the need to be considerate of others as sadly its rarely returned from my neighbours anyway. I could be happy with odd drive/holiday to the beach instead.

I'd go for the no neighbours option too, When I was growing up we had no neighbours, now I have neighbours on both sides, get on all right with both but I'd rather be without them!

What I have now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,several meadows to walk my dogs, river bounds my land on one side, barn conversion I designed myself, stable yard and own the lane up to my property, neighbours other end of the lane which is two hundred yards away, it's bliss.
